Sedgwick County E-Waste Collection
2 Days remain of the Sedgwick County E-Waste Collection! If you have any unwanted computers, cell phones, tablets, fax-machines, and more sitting around your house, the Sedgwick County Environmental Resources can help. They invite you to safely dispose of your useless E-waste from 9am-2pm on August 21st and 22nd. Visit their Facebook page for more information!
Wichita Flea Market
Come walk the aisles at the Kansas Star Casino this weekend and peruse through the 200 plus booths! The Wichita Flea Market will include antiques, crafts, vintage items, collectibles, comics, jewelry, toys, and so much more. Dueling Pianos
Join the Tanganyika Wildlife Park for their Twilight Tour After Party! Included in their event is the performance of the Hi-Fi Productions: DJ & Dueling Pianos! Sing, laugh, and clap along as they perform a high-energy dueling piano show. Experience the new outdoor courtyard and bar while having a great time supporting Tanganyika's animals, facility, and outreach efforts.
Beer in Hand Pickleball Tournament
Enjoy a new kind of tournament that will test every beer holder and pickleball skill you possess! Join Chicken N Pickle on Saturday, August 22nd from 11am-3pm for their pickleball tournament. This is a fun/social tournament for doubles which is $40 per team. The first beer is complimentary and tickets can be purchased on their Facebook page.
Prairie Smoke at the Wichita Union Stockyards
Back on stage on August 22nd will be Prairie Smoke at the Wichita Union Stockyards! The doors will open at 8pm and the band will take the stage at 9pm; playing some of your favorite Country Music songs! This concert is hosted by 107.9 KWLS Real-American Country and would love to see you out there! You must be 21 plus to enter and be prepared for a $10 cash cover at the door.
Books & Breakfast
Do you like to eat? How about free books? If you said yes to both of those questions, then the Books & Breakfast event is the one for you! Come out for a free hot breakfast along with free books, food bags, and more on Saturday, August 22nd from 10am-11:30am. Kids Yoga - Beach Theme
Limitless Yoga Studio is hosting a Beach themed kids' yoga session! In this kids-only class, they will begin to learn breathing techniques, yoga postures, and mindfulness through stories, songs, and games. All classes are geared towards lots of movements and fun activities for kids between ages of 4 and 9. The class is being held on Sunday, August 23rd from 1pm-2pm.
Summer Sundays at the Starlite Drive-In
For the entire month of August 2020, every Sunday will be carload pricing at $14 per carload at the Starlite Drive-In! If you are attending and their regular entry pricing is cheaper, you will pay the lower cost. There are only 2 dates left for this special promotion and didn't want you to miss it!
