The Toyota Sienna has long been a very popular minivan model in Toyota's lineup of vehicles. A family van that offers seating for up to eight occupants, the new 2021 Toyota Sienna has more than enough space to make its passengers and cargo comfortable. The interior and exterior of the Toyota Sienna have both been redesigned for the 2021 model year.
Available Powertrains
All five trim levels of the 2021 Toyota Sienna lineup are powered by a single powertrain, a hybrid powertrain. The 2021 Sienna hybrid powertrain is a 2.5-liter gasoline-fueled engine that is paired with two electric motors to provide 243 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque to the van. While still using the same powertrain as the front-wheel drive Sienna models, the all-wheel drive Sienna vans are equipped with a third electric motor that provides power to the rear wheels of the drivetrain. The hybrid powerplant that is in the new Sienna is capable of achieving up to an EPA-estimated 35 MPG in both the city and on the highway.
Safety Features
The 2021 Toyota Sienna is equipped with many standard safety features that will allow both drivers and passengers to feel safe in the van. The second generation of Toyota's safety suite, Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, is standard in every new Toyota Sienna model. Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes features like Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, and Automatic High Beams. There are many additional features that are included in the safety suite as well. To better-assist drivers, a parking sensor system and a 360-degree camera system are also available for the 2021 Sienna.
