2013 Toyota Prius Convenience and Safety Features
With the 2013 Prius' Head-Up Display, you can see important information such as vehicle speed, Hybrid System Indicator, and navigation information, right on your windshield, allowing you to keep your eyes safely on the road. To help you learn how to get the most out of your vehicle's already remarkable fuel economy, the Hybrid System Indicator will show you battery charge status, average speed, fuel consumption, drive mode indicator, and power meter. You and your family will feel safe inside the Prius with its seven airbags, Star Safety System™, and available Safety Connect®, which provides you with 24/7 roadside assistance. You'll also love the innovative feature of the available Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System (DRCC), which automatically adjusts your vehicle speed to maintain a pre-set following distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. The Prius also offers a Pre-Collision System, which works in conjunction with the DRCC to determine if a frontal collision is imminent. If one is detected, the system automatically applies the brakes and retracts the front seatbelts.
2013 Prius Performance Features
The 2013 Prius features Toyota's proven Hybrid Synergy Drive® system, which combines the benefits of an efficient gasoline engine and a clean, quiet electric motor. The Prius can be powered by the engine, the electric motor, or a combination of both. It will also automatically choose the most efficient mode for the best mpg. Speaking of fuel economy, the Prius offers you an incredible 51 mpg on the highway, and 48 mpg in the city. The Prius also offers three different drive modes; EV, ECO, and POWER. In EV mode the Prius will run on battery power alone for up to one mile, ECO adjusts the throttle input and climate control to help improve fuel economy, and POWER gives you a more spirited driving experience.
