Other available features include an adjustable power liftgate with a convenient flip-up rear hatch window. Inside, the Highlander offers available seating for up to 8 passengers, and higher trim levels feature perforated leather-trimmed heated and ventilated front seats. When you're bringing a crowd of passengers, everyone can be comfortable with the three-zone automatic climate control. The rear seats split and fold flat to provide more cargo room when you need it, for a maximum hauling capacity of 83.7 cubic feet.
New 2015 Toyota Highlander Technology and Safety Features
Stay connected and entertained, no matter where you go. The 2015 Toyota Highlander comes standard with the Entune Audio system with Intelligent Touch controls. It features Bluetooth connectivity and wireless streaming, SiriusXM All Access Radio, HD Radio, and a 6.1-inch or 8-inch touchscreen display. The available Entune app suite offers music and the access to buy movie tickets or make restaurant reservations. The Highlander XLE and Limited come standard with navigation, with the Multi-Information Display turn-by-turn navigation. For improved safety and visibility, every 2015 Highlander comes standard with a backup camera with a projected path display. The IIHS recognized the 2015 Highlander as at Top Safety Pick Plus when equipped with the available pre-collision system. Safety standards include the Toyota Star Safety System - a suite of six active safety features including smart braking and stability and traction control.
New 2015 Toyota Highlander Performance Details
The new 2015 Toyota Highlander offers two powerful engines. The first is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine with 185 horsepower and 184 lbs.-ft. of torque, which comes standard on the LE base trim. The second, which is optional on the LE and standard on all other trims, is a 3.5-liter V6 with 270 horsepower and 248 lbs.-ft. of torque. Both engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission, and you can get either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. When properly equipped, the 2015 Highlander XLE or Limited can tow up to 5,000 pounds.
