Hello Wichita! Check out this week's newsletter, issue 55! We have your weekend covered with live music, movies, bowling, a charity raffle, and a whole lot more! We also want to thank our educators for attending our school supply drive last weekend! We couldn't have thought of a more deserving group than our local teachers. Wow! We hosted our 2nd Annual Teacher Appreciation Event on Sunday, August 9th and were blown away with how many teachers greeted us at our dealership. The event was from 12pm-1pm in our service drive, but teachers started arriving as early at 10:30am! As teachers were lining up, we were wrapping up the finishing touches of our school supply drive. We had $10,000 worth of school supplies spread out in trunks of cars and trucks as well as in boxes along the service counter.

Do you remember last year when our Eddy's Toyota team surprised local teachers at Target near 21st and Greenwich? Let us do a quick recap! Even though it was a "secret," we announced last summer on our Facebook page that we would be at Target surprising teachers with gift cards. Our goal was to help them cover all of their school supply expenses for the upcoming school year. We made that announcement early that morning and by the time we reached Target at 1pm, we were greeted by educators from all over Wichita, KS and the surrounding areas. 

 

Do you know what's happening in our community this weekend? From a car show and a tasty brunch to live music and a 10K, there's a lot to do! There are also activities you can do with your kids such as a virtual camp and a summer event that teaches kids how to save. We love meeting new people at Eddy's Toyota of Wichita and helping them with their automotive needs. We also truly enjoy helping our fellow Wichitans with their endeavors, such as Peggy Ward and her goal to run the Honey Badger 100 Mile! Peggy initially approached us early June needing our help to run the World's Toughest Foot Race (Badwater 135) and needing a vehicle for her crew.
